A 1981 graduate of the York Academy of Arts, Catherine has won several awards for drawing & printmaking and is handled by several local galleries.  She is a teacher at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center and the Mechanicsburg Art Center.

Her current work is an exploration of the use of collage.  She creates hand-painted and textured papers and uses these colored papers as her "palette" for creating works on canvas.  The papers are cut & torn - sometimes randomly and other times patterned very specifically to fill a particular space and layered on the surface with acrylic medium.  Beautiful wall art, full of color and pattern, it is also a perfect illustrative medium.

Catherine is specially interested in botanical and leaf forms as well as capturing the daily landscapes and still-lifes that create the settings in which we play out our lives.

She also creates pencil drawings, acrylics on canvas, personalized memory collages, and is available for commission.
