Catherine is a working decorative artist and has been ever since graduating from the York Academy of Arts in 1981 where she studied in the fine arts program under Othmar Carli and Ted Fitzkee. 

Her talent keeps her busy in a great variety of areas, from painting murals in homes and businesses to painting decorative furniture accessories for her shop in Carlisle, to teaching at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center and more. 

Recent works include murals for Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in both their Dickinson College and Strawberry Square locations, restoration of the c.1930s era murals at Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse and a sports mural for Canton and Team Orthodontics.  She has also painted many residential and business interiors including Little John's Restaurant, and the EsScents Aveeda Salon in Carlisle as well as two Sherwin Williams stores (Carlisle and York) where she also gives finishing seminars.  On display at the Penn State/Hershey Medical Center is a 7 foot by 12 foot mural on canvas for their Healing Hearts art therapy program.

Catherine lives with her husband just outside the town of Newville in Central Pennsylvania.  Their three children all plan to further their education in the fields of education and the arts.
